The Coaxial delima
I’ve been trying to gain a better understanding of the coaxial escapement since I’m contemplating a PO. In reading the discussion between John and Dennis, in the Tech forum (as well as John’s review); the depth of conversation and intellect was deep.
It made me realize that to understand the Daniel’s movement would require a few swings of JD….
The fundamental part that I’m trying to get clear, is whether based on the concept for how the CoAx actually works, plus the lower beat rate, causes more wear on the parts?
I’m trying to compare the wear on a Valjoux 7750 to a 2500 movement.
Can anyone clarify this for me please?
